The cart that levelled up my jobsite saw.

If you've got a jobsite saw sitting on the floor, or on the folding stand it came with, you probably already know it's not a great setup. It's too low to work at comfortably, it shifts around when you're making a cut, there's nowhere to set anything down, and when you're finished you've got to find somewhere to put the damn thing.

For a long time I figured that was just what owning a compact saw felt like, and that the fix was a bigger saw. It turns out most of what made mine feel cheap had very little to do with the saw itself. It was everything around it: the height, the support, the lack of a proper home.

So I built a cart. It rolls out when I need it and folds down against the wall when I don't, and honestly it changed how I feel about that saw more than any accessory or upgrade I've bought since. Same 8¼" saw I started with, and I've built nearly every project on the channel with it.

These are the plans for that cart, the same one I'm using in the shop. It's built from 3/4” plywood in a weekend or so, with no specialty hardware and nothing you can't pick up at your local store.
